We can also assist you to apply to the Supreme Court of NSW for Probate. The grant of probate will enable executors to distribute the deceased estate in accordance with the provisions of the will.

In the event that a Will is not available, we can assist you in applying for Letters of Administration to the Supreme Court of NSW. Once Letters of Administration is granted by the Court, the deceased estate will be distributed in accordance to a formula provided for under the New South Wales Legislation.

A Notary Public or Public Notary is a practising lawyer (with a minimum of five (5) years practising experience), who is appointed by the NSW Supreme Court, and given statutory powers to witness documents, administer oaths, and perform other wide-ranging administrative functions of a national and international nature. A Notary Public not only takes oaths, signs and witnesses documents for use within Australia, but also performs similar functions in respect of international documents.

Notaries Public affix their official seal or stamp, to documents immediately under, adjacent or as near as possible to their signatures. All Notaries’ seals and signatures are officially recorded in a data base held the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), a government department authorised to issue Apostille or Authentication Certificates authenticating the signatures, seals or stamps of Notaries on Australian public documents.
